The newest batch in our experimental series, The Next Episode #16 is a crystal clear, DIPA brewed for the 2018 Beer Advocate IPA fest taking place in Boston this December. This 8.5% DIPA uses loads of Ekuanot, Styrian Dragon, and Grungeist hops, showcasing subtle floral and herbal notes, with delicate fresh summer ripened fruit characters that cut through any residual bitterness.
Dinner is obviously the best meal of the day, and if you think otherwise, you’re just wrong. We took one of our favorite base recipes for New England IPA and layered it with the elusive Medusa hop. This hop brings flavors of Guava, Melon, Apricot and Citrus to the dinner table, creating a meal we’re happy to feast on daily.
Developing a new social handle can be a pretty daunting task. Balance between target audience appeal and originality is of the upmost importance. Much like a freshly minted user name, we think we’ve struck the right balance between the in your face juicy hop character of Idaho 7 and the pillow soft mouthfeel for this double dry hopped New England Style IPA. Drink fresh and enjoy!
We’ve learned that it’s impossible to always plan for the future, and the ability to adapt to current situations is a required skill set. We adopted a few new techniques and ingredients to help us brew this India Pale Ale and then double dry hopped it with a blend of Citra, Mosaic and Idaho 7. The result is a soft India Pale Ale bursting with citrus and tropical fruit notes.
