The newest batch in our experimental series, The Next Episode #16 is a crystal clear, DIPA brewed for the 2018 Beer Advocate IPA fest taking place in Boston this December. This 8.5% DIPA uses loads of Ekuanot, Styrian Dragon, and Grungeist hops, showcasing subtle floral and herbal notes, with delicate fresh summer ripened fruit characters that cut through any residual bitterness.
What really defines a sandwich? Everyone has their own opinion, and none of them are wrong. In this case, we’ve embraced the Radical Sandwich Anarchy standpoint and layered juicy Simcoe, Amarillo and Motueka hops between rich flaked oats and wheat before topping it with Tangerine Puree, Vanilla Bean and Lactose. We think this is a sandwich, even though you probably don’t. Drink fresh and enjoy!
Developing a new social handle can be a pretty daunting task. Balance between target audience appeal and originality is of the upmost importance. Much like a freshly minted user name, we think we’ve struck the right balance between the in your face juicy hop character of Idaho 7 and the pillow soft mouthfeel for this double dry hopped New England Style IPA. Drink fresh and enjoy!
If you’ve ever had the opportunity to check out our brewing area, you may have noticed the binders sprinkled across the space. Each one contains its own super cool, but top secret information like MSDS sheets, event details, water profiles, and recipes. When these go missing or get moved three feet away, it can really hit the fan. Have You Seen My Binder uses loads of flaked oats and wheat for a clean, pillow soft mouthfeel. We then Double Dry Hop the beer with loads of two experimental hop varietals for an in your face tropical fruit experience!
We’ve learned that it’s impossible to always plan for the future, and the ability to adapt to current situations is a required skill set. We adopted a few new techniques and ingredients to help us brew this India Pale Ale and then double dry hopped it with a blend of Citra, Mosaic and Idaho 7. The result is a soft India Pale Ale bursting with citrus and tropical fruit notes.
